Attention: Member Pharmacy Colleges

All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), has passed a regulation and instructed all the pharmacy colleges to pay the annual subscription for the purchase of ejournals from foreign publishers.

AICTE has not only finalised subject area but also finalised foreign publishers to whom all the Institutions are compelled to pay exorbitant annual subscription that too in foreign currency ( American Dollars, Sterling Pounds and Euros). The annual subscription costs of these ejournals runs to Rs. 2.50 to 3.00 Lakhs every year per institution.

Hence, our Association has approached the Hon'ble High Court against this regulation of AICTE.

We are very much glad to inform that on 18.01.2012 His Lordship Hon'ble Mr.K.Venkataraman has passed an order of Interim Injunction.

This order of Interim Injuction is applicable only to our Member Institutions.
